192A Rose Street · Edinburgh New Town
Scottish classics, warm hospitality
Rose Street Cafe · Bistro sits at the west end of Rose Street — Edinburgh's much-loved pedestrian lane between Princes Street and George Street, a short stroll from Charlotte Square and the Castle.
Our kitchen brings full Scottish breakfasts together with Mediterranean and Turkish favourites. Fancy haggis and tattie scones at 3pm, Turkish eggs at lunch or a stack of pancakes for dinner? The full menu runs from 8am until close, every day.
Locals pop in for a Lorne sausage roll and a flat white on the way to work; visitors find us between the shops, the Castle and the Christmas markets. Whoever you are, you'll get a friendly welcome and food made to order.

The room
Rustic, relaxed & all on one level
Exposed brick, a golden pine ceiling, wagon-wheel lamps and wooden shutters give our small dining room a warm, rustic, slightly Western feel. Everything is on one level, and our team is happy to move tables for buggies, wheelchairs and groups.
On brighter days, grab one of the tables outside on Rose Street and watch the West End wander by.
