1. Who we are
This website is operated by Rose Street Cafe (“we”, “us”, “our”), a business run by a self-employed sole trader and based at 192A Rose Street, Edinburgh EH2 4AZ. VAT number GB 453 5297 77. You can contact us at contact@rosestreetcafe.com or +44 131 478 3612.
2. Menu, prices and availability
Our menu, prices, opening hours and seasonal specials are shown for information and may change without notice. Dishes are subject to availability. Prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable. The prices charged in the cafe are those shown on the in-cafe menu on the day of your visit. Photographs are illustrative and dishes may look slightly different when served.
3. Allergies and dietary requirements
Menu labels such as (V) vegetarian and (VG) vegan are a guide only. Our kitchen handles all 14 major allergens, including gluten, nuts, milk and eggs, so we cannot guarantee that any dish is free from traces of allergens. Always tell a member of staff about any allergy or intolerance before you order — full allergen information is available in the cafe on request. Do not rely on this website alone for allergen information.
4. Tables, groups and enquiries
We welcome walk-ins and do not take reservations through this website. Sending an enquiry (for example about a group visit) does not confirm a table until we reply to confirm it. To protect against spam, the contact form accepts one message per visitor every two hours.
5. Using this website
You may use this website for personal, non-commercial purposes. You must not misuse it — for example by introducing viruses, attempting to gain unauthorised access, sending spam through the contact form or scraping content in bulk. We may suspend or change the site at any time and do not guarantee that it will always be available or error-free.
6. Content and intellectual property
The text, photographs, logo and design of this website belong to us or our licensors. You may share links to our pages, but you may not copy or reuse our content for commercial purposes without our written permission.
7. Reviews and links to other sites
Guest quotes shown on this site are excerpts from genuine public reviews on Google, and our rating links to the original source. Links to other websites (such as Google Maps, Instagram or Facebook) are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
8. Our liability
We take care to keep this website accurate, but the information is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, this website. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be excluded or limited under the law of Scotland or the United Kingdom. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.
9. Privacy and cookies
How we handle personal information, including the small amount of browser storage the site uses, is explained in our Privacy Policy.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page at the time you use the site applies.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Scotland, and the Scottish courts have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
